Every truly great local business has a story — and MOOYAH’s begins with two brothers, Nick and Art Depole, and a big dream backed by hustle and heart.

They weren’t born into a restaurant empire — they built their first business in college, before most of us even figured out what we wanted to major in. Ambition, work ethic, and family were the foundation.

A Leap of Faith in New York City

Their first MOOYAH restaurant wasn’t in a quiet town — it opened near Times Square. Fresh-baked buns, hand-cut fries, real ice-cream shakes — a “burgers done right” mindset in a city that never slows down.

Then the world did slow down. COVID forced restaurants everywhere to close.Most people would've quit. They didn’t.

They pivoted, protected their dream, and looked for a place where family and community still mattered deeply.

Finding Home in Utah

They found that place here.Utah felt like home — values, family, kindness, community, connection.

Their first Utah location wasn’t glamorous — it needed work. They rolled up their sleeves, rebuilt it from the ground up, greeted customers themselves, and earned loyalty one burger at a time.

And it paid off.

A Utah Success Story

That one location grew into more — including the Sandy and South Jordan restaurants we have today.

Now, MOOYAH'S is a staple for:
